Configuring the Tree

 

Configure Tree contains the functions that set up the Data Points and their location in the Tree View. It consists of four Item types - Company, Group(s), Site(s) and Meter(s) (there are several types of Meter).

The Tree View

  • Open: Setup > Tree > Configure Tree

    • Sigma begins with a Root Company (1)

    • Companies (2), Groups (3)and Sites (4) are added beneath the root Company

    • Meters (5) are added beneath a Site

    • Consumption Data is added to the Meter

    • Accounts are attached to the Meter. The Invoices are added to the Account. (Note Accounts are not visible from the Tree View - Right click on the Meter > Edit and then view the Contract tab

The Tree View Items are also home to the data entered by Users, including Analysis Templates, Alarm Configuration, Budgets, Reports etc. If the Item is deleted from the Tree View, all of the child Items and the Associated Data is also deleted. 

Where is the Tree View?

  • Open: Setup > Tree > Configure Tree

The Tree View is located on the left of the page

  • Select an Item to display the details on the right hand side of the Page

  • More information on an Item can be found by clicking Edit
