What is Analysis?
The Energy Analysis section consists of several techniques to interrogate energy data. The products of this module can all be saved as templates for easy access and reporting. The module is split over two advanced menus, Analysis and Budgets. The Analysis menu is split into sections to separate each analysis type. Budgets has a separate menu due to the amount of supporting data.

There is an Analysis Summary page in Sigma that will help you understand the Analysis Reports. The Analysis Summary displays an overview of the types of Reports available. Each Analysis type is listed by name, and shows a visual display and a description. | |
Energy Analysis brings together a wide range of analysis techniques for use with any of the Tree View Data. Several Meters can be chosen to compare their Data. The Energy Analysis charts will display aggregated data, excepting a few of the Options. Aggregated Data consists of pre-calculated totals (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) that are prepared overnight to speed up the interrogation of charts. | |
Roll Up Reporting will display aggregated totals together as a comparative measure. Interval totals are graphed according to the Grouping Level - see below. Totals for the period are displayed as proportional areas when the analysis type is set as Tree Map. | |
Single Meter Analysis overlays data to compare and contrast profiles. The Analysis can be applied to a single Meter or Calculated Meter if a total of several Meter’s data is required. The Analysis Types can be used to expose the variation between days of the week, profile shapes and cost. | |
Trend Line Analysis will graph up to four sets of data from a single meter on each graph. The data sets include actual Consumption, Cost, Budgets and MVLR models. The Template Details and Template List are used to save the parameters for future reference and reporting. | |
Performance Analysis provides techniques for assessing, regressing and monitoring performance. Consumption data is analysed against other variable factors (such as active periods, degree day data and production data). Targets lines and regression models are created to assess and monitor future performance of energy usage. | |
Electricity Analysis offers techniques that are specific to Electricity data. The Tree View automatically filters Meters configured as a Meter Type of Electricity. | |
Base Load Analysis provides the ability to view the baseload consumption of a meter. This can be viewed for the active or inactive periods as defined by the meter configuration. Baseload analysis separates and compares active and inactive consumption for a single data point. The changing consumption is identified and quantified by comparing averages during the period. | |
League Table Analysis allows the comparison of Sites or Meters based on a range of Key Performance Indicators. | |
Energy Temperature (ET) Analysis plots a Site’s energy consumption by floor space with respect to external temperature. The data plots are referenced against a Normal (expected) line. Deviation from the normal line is bounded by limits which define the tolerances. Data plots within tolerance are coloured green whereas plots outside tolerance are highlighted as red. | |
